FAQs

Q?

What is Football Abroad?

A.

We are an international consulting agency based in Spain that liaises between parents and/or sports associations and sports clubs and Spanish associations. We offer football and education training programs for youth around the world. Our goal is to provide sport experiences for all young people who want to live unique experiences in Spain, either for short or long duration.

Q?

Why Football Abroad?

A.

Because we make sure to offer only the best football programs in Spain, as well as custom programs (should be arranged). Our desire is to satisfy the desires of those who want to live a unique experience in Spain, taking advantage of the high level of education and football that can only be found here.

Q?

In addition to offering products, what other services are offered by Football Abroad?

A.

Our biggest advantage versus other agencies is our monitoring: we act as a liaison between parents and / or sports associations and keep them informed at all times of the status of your children through school and sports assessments, visa management, specific needs, etc. Our clients are young people and their parents / supporters, which is why we believe in the continuous monitoring of young people for the peace of all parties.

Q?

A high sports level is required to do a Program?

A.

Not at all: the only requirement is to love football and the desire to learn and enjoy in Spain.

Q?

Do the programs have a cost? Is there some kind of sports scholarship for those who can not afford it?

A.

All our programs have a cost and we do not offer scholarships. That said, we have no objection if those interested find scholarship or are funded on their own, whether it is by a private entity, private companies, sports federations or other.

Q?

We are a group that wants to carry out a program: What does it cost for a monitor/teacher to join us?

A.

For every 20 participants from a single group, Football Abroad will bear the costs of a monitor of your choice to accompany you (accommodation and meals).

Q?

We want to do a Program, but we want to change some of the tours for others of our choice, is it possible?

A.

Of course: our programs are flexible and we can always make changes to seek the comfort of our customers.

Q?

Why don’t publish prices on your website?

A.

Our programs are designed to find the perfect balance of football, education and culture/tourism, but there is always the case a client wants to change aspects of a program to suit their needs. That is why we do custom budgets for each case within 24 hours. The best and most direct communication is via email or phone. (info@footballabroad.com)

Q?

What is the minimum number of participants?

A.

Full year Programs: 1.

Short stay Programs:

  • Real Madrid Campus Experience: 30.
  • Royal Spanish Football Federation: 20.
  • Pontifical University of Salamanca and Real Valladolid C.F.: 20.

Q?

We are a group that want to participate in a Program, but do not reach the minimum number of participants: Can you help us complete the group?

A.

For the most part, Football Abroad does not put together or complete groups, but we could make an exception in case there were few people needed to reach the minimum number of participants. Please contact us in such case.

Q?

Is airfare included in the price?

A.

No, our prices include everything except airfare and personal spending money. However, if a customer was interested, we could take care of the ticket issuance and include it in the final price.

Q?

How is the payment method?

A.

Bank transfer.

Q?

How and when is the reservation formalized?

A.

It will be reserved at least two months in advance, paying 25% of the total cost of the program.

Q?

When will the remaining 75% be paid?

A.

The deadline will be 1 month before the start of the program.

Q?

Do I need a Visa to enter Spain?

A.

It depends on the country of origin, but there are many cases in which it is necessary. In this case, Football Abroad, along the destination club or organization, will send all the necessary documents for obtaining such Visa, either Tourist Visa or Student Visa (short stay Programs  or long stay Programs, respectively).

Q?

Is the transportation from and to the airport included in the price?

A.

Yes, as well as internal transportation in Spain.

Q?

Is health insurance included in the price?

A.

Absolutely. All young people will have health insurance while in Spain, either for a short or long stay Program. This insurance will cover them since their arrival in Spain until their departure, but will not cover them while traveling (lost luggage, delayed flights, hotels while traveling, etc.).

Q?

Can parents accompany their children to Spain for a short stay Program?

A.

Yes, and we encourage them to do so, so they can benefit from their children's journey to come to Spain and sightseeing while their children enjoy. Football Abroad can help them set up a tailored travel plan to make the most of their stay in Spain.

Q?

Can parents go see their children while they train in a short stay Program?

A.

We advise them not to, as we believe that young people should take advantage of their days in Spain to the fullest. That is why we can arrange a trip for them so they can take the opportunity to discover Spain while their children enjoy the program (previous question).

Q?

What should young people bring to Spain?

A.

We describe in each program the necessary material needed.

Q?

How much money should young people bring to Spain?

A.

It depends on their personal expenses. We advise not to bring much. Anyway, Football Abroad can guard their money during their stay and administer it to the parents’ liking.
